Our Baby Vegetable Range has grown considerably and we now grow and export one of the largest baby vegetable offerings globally, 365 days of the year and in multiple pack formats. From candied baby beetroot grown on the slopes of Table Mountain, to our baby rainbow carrots and their perfectly trimmed tops—these products really do have the potential to add a point of difference to any vegetable category.
We are constantly pushing ourselves to innovate, aligning ourselves with the latest trends in fresh produce. One such range is the Yukon Micro Range. This exciting addition to our product offering requires precision farming and delicate processing techniques, making it a unique and attractive premium product. Our Micro Range consists of edible flowers and microgreens and is one of the fastest growing areas in our business at the moment.
Also new to the Yukon family, and growing in global demand, is our fantastic range of all-year-round exotic mushrooms. Grown in a state-of-the-art greenhouse facility in Sasolburg, in the Free State province of South Africa, our exotic mushroom range boasts everything from King Oyster through to Shiitake. All of our mushrooms are grown in an organic medium, providing the ideal environment for both growth and quality.
All of our products are packed with freshness and quality in mind. The geographical spread of our operations means that the maximum lead time from field to flight is just 3 days. Our integrated approach means that we have become specialists in bespoke pack sizes, private label packing and just-in-time orders. No stock is ever held or carried over, instead we work on unique, customer-specific orders; in this way we can ensure a continuous supply of fresh products, with excellent quality.
